Canolio Gourmet was founded in 2019 following the legalization of recreational cannabis in Canada. However, the team’s expertise goes back two decades earlier to 1999, when « Canolio, The Hemp Co! » was cultivating organic hemp and creating food products, such as hemp coffee and dehulled seeds that were distributed all across North America and Europe.

Lucie makes history as the 1st woman to grow organic hemp in North America. « Canolio, The Hemp co.! » is born, inspired by Canada’s shift in cannabis laws.
Building the « Hemp movement »
Co-founding the Canadian Hemp Trade Alliance, Lucie helps shape the industry. She publishes the first Canadian book about medicinal cannabis and the history of hemp, printed on hemp paper while Canolio launches innovative hemp foods, including the country’s 1st hemp coffee.

Canolio steps onto the global stage, representing Canada at international food trade shows and showcasing hemp-based cuisine to the world.
